Research area

Morphology, fauna, taxonomy and phylogeny of aquatic invertebrates (Trichoptera, Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Diptera, Mollusca, Crustacea etc.). Ecology of macrozoobenthos of aquatic ecosystems and protection of inland waters. The role of invertebrates in the diet of freshwater fish and monitoring the impact of trout ponds on the benthic communities of running waters. Physiological monitoring at the biomarker level – monitoring the level and activity of oxidative stress enzymes in aquatic invertebrates.
