Research area

Mycology, ecology of micromycetes, fungi of extreme habitats, the role of fungi in the process of deterioration of cultural heritage objects, antifungal activity of products of natural origin, biocontrol

Project Manager:

1. Promising natural alternatives for the cultural heritage safeguard: a force of nature (PROTECTA 6066210) (2020 – 2023) – Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, Program for Excellent Projects of Young Researchers (PROMIS).

2. Novel biocides for cultural heritage of Southeast Europe – biocontrol and biomimetic systems for preservation of old masterpieces (2020 – 2023). Bilateral project between the Republic of Serbia (University of Belgrade – Faculty of Biology) and the Republic of Slovenia (Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia).

Project participant:

1. Ultimate biofortification and reshaping of soil microbiota for more sustainable agrifood production, environment protection and human health (TERRA_MADRE) (2024 – 2026). Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, PRIZMA program – project manager.

2. New approach: natural products as potential agents for the control of olive scab disease (2018 – 2019). Bilateral project between the Republic of Serbia (University of Belgrade – Faculty of Biology) and the Republic of Slovenia (University of Primorska – Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies).

3. Anatomical, phytochemical and bioactivity investigation of selected Artemisia taxa from Serbia and Hungary – fundamental and applied approach (2021 – 2023). Bilateral project between the Republic of Serbia (University of Belgrade – Faculty of Biology) and the Republic of Hungary (Szent István University).
