Education and qualifications

Graduated biologist (1990): Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Belgrade, Department of General Biology. Average grade 9,54. Diploma thesis entitled: “Syngenic mixed lymphocyte culture in AO and DA strain rats” (field of Immunology).


Master of Biological Sciences (1996): Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, Department of Endocrinology. Master's thesis entitled: "Cellular basis of induction of autoimmune pancreatic damage in chronic graft-versus-host disease in rats" (field of Immunology).


Doctor of Biological Sciences (2001): Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. Doctoral dissertation entitled: “Effects of acute exposure to various stressors on the activity of monoamine oxidase and antioxidant enzymes in the brain and brown adipose tissue of rats” (field of Neuroendocrinology).

Movement in service

2006−2013: Associate Professor in the scientific field of Animal and Human Physiology; Department of Comparative Physiology and Ecophysiology;


2013−present: full professor for the narrow scientific field of Animal and Human Physiology, Department of Comparative Physiology and Ecophysiology, in the subjects Animal Physiology, Molecular Physiology of Organ Systems and History of Biological Sciences in basic academic studies and Stress Physiology in doctoral studies.
