For students who wish to transfer from another faculty/university, from a similar academic study program to the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade
Transfer to the study program of basic academic studies in Biology (240 ECTS) is possible from a similar academic study program attended at faculties of the same or other universities. The basic legal requirements are that at least 60 and a maximum of 180 ECTS have been passed during the course of studies. In other words, a student can transfer to another similar study program of the same level, after the first year of studies, but not to the last year of studies.
In addition to a written Application stating the brief content and purpose of the transfer, signed by the candidate, candidates/students submit the following certified documentation in paper form (at the Student Services) and electronically (scanned to e-mail): studentska@bio.bg.ac.rs):
- Certificate of passing exams, issued by the higher education institution where the study program was attended
- Syllabus for each course passed according to the accreditation for the enrolled study program (each page certified, or a copy from the official website of the higher education institution with a web link)
- Receipt of payment in the amount of 15.000,00 dinars to the account of the Faculty of Biology (no. 840-1814666-61), for the purpose of exam recognition costs.
Previous documentation is submitted no later than September 15th of the current calendar year.
- Certificate of graduation from the previous study program, certified by the home faculty (only if the application is positively resolved), upon enrollment at the faculty at the Student Services.
The application will be resolved no later than the beginning of the next school year, i.e. by October 1 of the current calendar year.
The examination recognition procedure is carried out by the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs in cooperation with the Faculty of Biology Professional Service. For the recognition of each passed subject, the consent of the subject teachers at the Faculty of Biology for which the previous subject(s) is/are being recognized is necessary. According to the Statute of the Faculty of Biology, the final decision on the recognition of the examination is made by the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty of Biology.
For students who wish to change a module in the academic study program Biology (240 ECTS)
Transferring to another module of the same study program of basic academic studies in Biology (240 ECTS) is possible if the student has passed at least 60 and at most 180 ECTS during the course of studies in the previous module. In other words, a student can transfer to another module of the same study program, after the first year of studies, but not to the last year of studies.
The special conditions adopted by the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty of Biology are:
- that the number of students transferring to the appropriate module in one school year cannot exceed 10% of the number according to the enrollment quota per module. If a larger number of candidates apply, they are ranked and enrolled up to the planned number.
- that the average grade for moving on to the Molecular Biology and Physiology module must not be less than a grade of 8 (eight).
The application is submitted exclusively through the StudInfo application (electronic index), to the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, selecting the appropriate type of application (Transfer to another module, same study program), no later than the end of the last examination period in the school year, and before enrollment in the next school year.
After changing modules, the student is obliged to submit an Application for exemption from taking exams in the subjects he/she passed in the previous module, collectively for all exams in one application, in the e-index.
The examination recognition procedure is carried out by the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs in cooperation with the Student Services of the Faculty of Biology.
