For lovers of discovering secrets and the most hidden details of existence!
The most dynamic branch of biology is molecular biology. Scientific achievements in this field are intensively used in other branches of biology, and without well-developed molecular biology, there is almost no modern medicine and biotechnology. The subjects of study of this program are molecular genetics, molecular physiology and immunology, molecular biotechnology, molecular evolution, bioinformatics…
Entering the world of molecular biology itself required a multidisciplinary approach. Understanding the basic physical and chemical processes at the molecular level of living beings is the basis for further study. At the time of the establishment of the Institute of Physiology and Biochemistry at our faculty, something similar was only found in France and Great Britain, so we can say that we are members of the pioneering echelon of molecular biology in Europe. The nature of the program is such that it includes knowledge of physics, chemistry, mathematics and medical sciences, which later expands the range of possibilities for further engagement in a large number of spheres.
What can I do after my studies?
After completing basic studies in this study program, students are qualified to work in various types of biomedical laboratories (biochemical, clinical, cytological, genetic, embryological, immunological, forensic, pharmaceutical, etc.), as well as in bioinformatics software companies. In addition, by obtaining the title of Graduate Molecular Biologist and Physiologist, students also qualify to continue their studies, first at the master's level, and then at the doctoral level, both in the country and abroad.
