The Center for Knowledge Transfer and Innovation was founded in 2012 at the initiative of a number of teachers at the Faculty, with the aim of developing new activities in the sphere of informal education, knowledge transfer and innovative activities, which is in line with new trends in Europe and the world. The idea was for the Center to organize and develop various projects and programs for knowledge transfer and innovation, in line with market needs, including additional and supplementary education, lifelong education and distance education, training for work in specialized laboratories, or for mastering specific methods, especially those that are incorporated into new laws and regulations (e.g. the Law on Water, the NSSR system in food control, etc.), professional, development and innovation projects and related activities. The center would also promote existing knowledge and connect teachers, associates, and students with the economy, i.e. the end users of the results.
Over the past ten years, the Center has conducted a large number of expert analyses that the Faculty's associates have provided to various companies, as well as cultural institutions in the country and abroad. Through the Center's activities, a large number of courses have been implemented for young researchers (laboratory animal science, morphometry) and for citizens (beer workshop). In addition to Faculty teachers, eminent experts from abroad also participate in the Center's educational activities as lecturers.
