Winner of the prestigious international IBRO Rising Star Award

We are very pleased to share the news that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milorad Dragić is the winner of the prestigious international IBRO Rising Star Award!

This award is presented by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) with the aim of recognizing and supporting young scientists who stand out for their exceptional research results, innovation and potential for scientific leadership in the field of neuroscience. The special significance of this recognition is reflected in the fact that Dr. Milorad Dragić is the only winner from Europe within this year's IBRO Rising Star Awards program (this year's laureates)

As an assistant professor at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, a research associate at the Vinča Institute for Nuclear Sciences, and a researcher at the Center for Translational Neuroscience, Dr. Dragić actively participates in multidisciplinary research focused on studying synaptic plasticity, neurodegenerative diseases, and the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation.

This award confirms the quality and international recognition of research conducted in Serbia and represents a significant recognition for the domestic scientific community. Dr. Dragić's previous work includes research in the field of neurostimulation, neuroinflammation and mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, with the aim of developing new therapeutic approaches for neurological disorders.

In addition to the recognition, the award includes a research grant in the amount of EUR 15.000, which will be invested in the purchase of modern research equipment and further improvement of the capacity to conduct cutting-edge neuroscientific research.
