>The Stanka Romac Foundation is announcing
PUBLIC COMPETITION
for the awarding of the "STANKA ROMAC" award
for the best doctoral dissertation
in the field of human molecular genetics or biomedicine
Theses should be written at institutes and universities in Serbia and defended within the period from August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025.
Required documentation:
- Candidate's personal data:
Full residential address, email address and contact phone number. - Candidate's biography and bibliography:
It is mandatory to list all works that are the result of the doctoral dissertation. - Electronic version (PDF) of the doctoral dissertation.
Application method and deadline:
Submit all necessary documentation in PDF format electronically to:

The deadline for submitting applications is September 5, 2025.
Prize fund:
The total prize fund amounts to 120.000,00 dinars.
Announcement of results:
The results of the competition will be published on the website of the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade (www.bio.bg.ac.rs), September 20, 2025.
Award ceremony:
The award will be presented at a ceremony marking the Day of the Faculty of Biology.
Notes:
- Only candidates who have defended their doctoral thesis within the specified period can apply for the competition.
- Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered.
