The University of Belgrade supports the demands of students and defends their right to social engagement within the framework of academic norms and laws. We see the demands of students as an opportunity to restore trust in institutions and their true action in the interests of citizens. Higher education must not be a point at which the responsibility of other institutions is broken.

Students did not cause this crisis, but only through conversation and mutual understanding can we overcome it and ensure the survival of the university.

We remind you that in addition to the financial and existential threat to teachers and associates, the faculties and the university as a whole are also under attack.

Continuing education is a public interest!

Accordingly, we call on all stakeholders - students, teaching staff and faculty administrations - to jointly participate in ensuring the conditions for the completion of the school year and the enrollment of a new generation of students, which is one of the conditions, both formal and essential, for the survival of the university.
